Peaches the psychic ‘duped desperate mother out of $140,000 after promising to lift curse on her family’

A fortune teller duped a desperate mother-of-two out of nearly $140,000 after claiming she could lift a curse on her victim’s family, it has been alleged. Peaches Stevens, also known as Mrs Starr, has been accused of stealing cash, gift cards and jewellery from Priti Mahalanobis over a eight-month period. The money was used in large part to pay for seven tabernacles, or tent-like shrines, at $19,000 each which Stevens claimed was needed to eradicate a seven-generation-long hex on her family, it is alleged.
